Museum Practicum: AN545 Spring

Course Description: This is an experimental course -- an experiential research/lab course focusing on museum studies, museum theory, and virtual as well as traditional curation. We will be reading on these topics as the course progresses, but we will do so in the context of actively engaging in our own research and production process. Our goals will be to gain a critical understanding of issues relating to museum curation and exhibitions, and to produce our own virtual exhibits to be published on our anthropology server. As an instructor, I will be training you in the use of basic software needed to accomplish the task, and learning with you along the way.
