Charles Hilton is a biological anthropologist interested in the evolutionary history of human skeletal and physiological adaptations, especially those associated with the genus Homo. This interest has presented a number of opportunities for research in different areas but he primarily specializes in research that reconstructs past physical activities of recent and fossil human ancestors. Hilton has worked on Neandertal an d modern human fossil remains. However, in order to have a better understanding of how physical activities influence our skeletal biology, he conducted my dissertation research among living savanna Pumé foragers of Venezuela.
