Homework: Homework will be assigned weekly and collected at the end of your Friday lab. Late homework will not be accepted. If you are unable to attend class drop off your assignment prior to your lab in my mail box which is located in the main math office (3rd floor of Everett Tower, room 3319). If you are absent for any reason you are still responsible for turning in the assignment on time. You must show all your work, just an answer will not get you full credit.

Quizzes: There will be at least fives quizzes spread throughout the semester. If I throw another one in there, your lowest quiz score will be dropped.

Group Work: There will also be at least two group work assignments. They will be worth five points each.

Incompletes:    According to University policy, incompletes are only given in those rare instances when extenuating circumstances have prevented a student from completing a small segment of the course. An incomplete is never given as a substitute for a failing grade. The last day that a student can officially withdraw from a class to avoid a failing grade is November 3rd.

WMU Policies and Procedures You are responsible for making yourself aware of and understanding the policies and procedures in the Undergraduate and Graduate Catalogs that pertain to Academic Honesty. These policies include cheating, fabrication, falsification and forgery, multiple submission, plagiarism, complicity, computer misuse and disruptive behavior. [The policies can be found at http://catalog.wmich.edu under Academic Policies, Student Rights and Responsibilities.] If there is reason to believe you have been involved in academic dishonesty, you will be referred to the Office of Student Conduct. You will be given the opportunity to review the charge(s). If you believe you are not responsible, you will have the opportunity for a hearing. You should consult with your instructor if you are uncertain about an issue of academic honesty prior to the submission of an assignment or test.
