Meet the Instructor


Ms. Bryce Dickey
joined FCS as a full-time faculty member in the Fall of 1998. Ms. Dickey is teaching in the Family Studies area.

Ms. Dickey graduated from the University of Texas in Austin, TX in 1978 and received her M.S. Degree from the University of Texas in Arlington, TX in 1986. Ms. Dickey also completed the course of study for Interpreting for the Deaf at Tarrant County Community College in Fort Worth, TX in 1982. Ms. Dickey is a Certified Family Life Educator.

Ms. Dickey has had a variety of professional experience related to family studies and systems theory, beginning as a Caseworker working with an Early Childhood Intervention program and most recently as an Educator with the local Planned Parenthood in Kalamazoo. She was an adjunct faculty member with the FCS Department for the four years prior to 1998, she loves teaching and says she is fortunate that she feels passionate about her profession. When asked what Bryce feels she has learned from all of her experiences as a social worker, a trainer, a teacher in a prison setting, and an educator she responds, "most people are doing the best they can with what they've got," and she thinks this says something very positive about people.
