COURSE PREREQUISITE: Multivariate Calculus, Linear Algebra, Differential
Equations, and
ability to program in some language, such as Fortran, C++, Matlab,
or Maple. I will use Maple
for illustrations.
TEXT : Numerical Analysis (3rd edition) by Kincaid / Cheney. Helpful
tip: You will
understand classroom discussion better if you have read the appropriate
section of the
book before each class.
