Teachers should not only be well-versed practitioners in teaching grammar -- they should be active developers of knowledge -- using their skill as teachers and scholars to advance the concepts and practices of teaching grammar.

Each member of 'Grammar in Teaching Writing' Fall 2004 completed a final project that included two options
  • an academic paper focusing on an element or issue in teaching grammar
Or
  • A pedagogical project in which they describe a writing project for students that exemplifies best practices in teaching grammar.
