Psy 426: Introduction to Human Drug Use and Abuse, 3 cr. hrs

 

This course introduces basic pharmacological principles of drug action and covers behavioral and physiological mechanisms of several classes of medicinal and recreational drugs. Although human drug use and abuse are the primary focus of the course, nonhuman research findings are emphasized where appropriate.

This course is for non-psychology majors only. It can not be applied toward psychology major credits. Prerequisite: Psy 100
