History 300 grading system:

          Daily assignments: 5 pts ea. @ 20 sessions = 100 pts

          Papers: 2 short or 1 long, total of        = 100 pts

          Tests: 2 midterms @ 50 pts ea.             = 100 pts

          Final exam:                                = 100 pts

          Total:                                       400 pts

          Daily assignments: Answer study questions on assigned readings, or exercises at end of current chapter. Due at beginning of each class session.

          Papers: Two short research papers, 5-7 pp. ea., or one long paper, 10-14 pp., demonstrating basic understanding of relevant topics.

          Midterms: 10-20 identifications, one-two essay questions

          Final: 10-20 identifications, two-three essay questions

          Grade scale:

          A=   381-400 95%

          BA=  361-380 90%

          B=   341-360 85%

          CB=  321-340 80%

          C=   301-320 75%

          DC=  281-300 70%

          D=   261-280 65%
