Welcome Parents! I have included some resources below for you to look through, among them is a video about me, a classroom news letter and a list of resources. Teaching Experiences- For the past 5 years I have worked at Curious Kids Child Care Center through Portage Public Schools. The site contains 4 different programs; SOCC (student on campus care), PACC (pre-school age child care), Discovergarten (Kindergarten), and SACC (school age child care.) I have worked in all of the programs at one point or another. I most recently was head teacher in the Discovergarten program. I really enjoyed my time in this position, it gave me a chance to work with the students the other half of their school day. We practiced our letters, experimented with simple science experiments, and enjoyed many other learning experiences together. In the SACC program I worked as a director; planning activities, organizing staff, talking to parents, and working with the students. I was also a head teacher in the SACC program for a couple years, while in this program I worked with students in grades 1st-8th. I never worked for the SOCC or PACC programs directly but I have substituted in both. I have enjoyed all of me experiences and look forward to many more.
