Why would I want to become a teacher??

Being a teacher has been my dream since I was in kindergarten. One day in Kindergarten my teacher asked me what I wanted to do when I grew up. I admired her so much that I wanted to be her... that meant being a teacher, because to a kindergartener that is all a teacher is!!! As I grew older that never changed. I began working with children through babsitting, working at camps and day cares, and various other things and I got such a joy out of being with them and watching them learn new things and I really got excited and knew that I had to be a teacher. Now that I am in classes and writing lessons I love it even more, seeing the excitment on the faces of students when they discover something new makes everything worthwhile to me!!

Personal Philosophy of Teaching

There are many things that I believe needs to be done to make that person successful and doing their job purposfully and efficiently. It is the teachers job and responsibility to create a positive environment in the classroom that promotes student learning, exploration, and open conversation for and among all of the students. All students will be assisted in a way that will lead to success in the classroom.
