In the beautiful country of Greece, there are many beautiful cities and structures that are viewed by millions of people from all over the world. The first Greeks arrived in Europe in about 1500 BC. The greek empire began growing and at its peak stretched from Egypt to the Hindu Kush mountains. One exciting fact that the Greek people have, is that the very first summer olympic games were held in Athens Greece. The first recorded games were held in 776 BC, although these were definately not the first. In 393 AD the olympic games were outlawed. The games were revived in the late 17th century and the modern olympics took place in Athens in 1896. One of the most famous buildings in the world is the Parthenon
