Career and Job Goals
Upon graduation I plan to get a job in a school either in the Kalamazoo area or in Alabama to be nearer to my family. While I am teaching I am going to start working on getting a Master's in socialogy. Eventually I either want to be a Museum Curator or a Director at a summer camp. But then I have changed my mind so many times recently who knows what I will want to do down the road!!

I have babysat for a great many families from the time that I was 12

Peter Piper Pizza : I was a birthday party hostess and worked in the toy counter. November 1999-December 2000

Loy Norrix Day Care Center: I was in charge of a group of 2 1/2- 6 year old children. I wrote lessons and kept the children entertained while they were at the center. August 2000-June 2001 & August 2002- June 2003

Camp Wise: This is an overnight camp for Jewish children in Ohio. I was the senior counselor in my cabin for two years and the Head Counselor along with being the senior counselor the third year. As the senior counselor I was in charge of a group of 8-10 year olds. The campers were there for a period of 3 or 4 weeks at a time. While they were there I was in charge of their safety and well being as well as creating fun opportunities for them. I also had a junior counselor I was in charge of, teaching them the ins and outs of being a good counselor to the campers. As Head Counselor (Assistant Village Supervisor) I had the responsibilities of the village supervisor including programming, paper work, homesickness and dealing with staff issues. - Student Ambassador: I talk on the phone with prospective students that are interested in Western and answer any questions that they may have. I also give tours to transfer students and prospective students!! September 2005- Present. Student Ambassador Website

Volunteer Activities
Alpha Phi Omega is a national co-ed service fraternity so I do a bunch of service throughout the year. I have volunteered with the Boys and Girls Club where I played games and read to the kids that came to the club and we also took a group to the Apple Orchard and supervised them, this was an experience that many of the kids had never had before. I have also volunteered at the Rickman House. Rickman House is a halfway house for people in the community that are down on their luck and many of them have mental dissabilities. There I made and served breakfast to the residents. I have also worked at an altzheimer unit, read books to children, volunteered at various events around town, and many many other events.
