Professional Education
Career and Job Goals: Upon graduating from Western Michigan University I would most like to find a teaching position in an early elementary grade level. Grades K-3 are what appeal to me the more because in those grades I feel that there is still a lot of artistic and creative involvement in the classroom. To better prepare myself for these grades, I'm currently taking early childhood education classes that will help me to obtain a Z endorsement with my teaching certificate. I believe that expression through the arts is something that everyone should have a chance to experience and that younger ages students have an easier time embracing that. With sharing the arts with my students I will hope that it will help them to use it across the curriculum as they are learning and developing. Most of all, as a teacher I want to make a lasting impression or change in my students lives, just like all of the wonderful teachers that have done that for me. History of Previous Education: My hometown is Dearborn Michigan (the same hometown of Henry Ford) and I attended elementary, middle, and high school in Dearborn Public Schools. http://www.dearbornschools.org In 2002, I graduated from Dearborn High School and was accepted to Western Michigan University.
