My Personal Theory of Teaching

My definition of a great teacher is someone whose energy is focused soley on the growth and development of a student. Someone who feels the passion of teaching. Someone who will go to extraordinary lengths to be of service of their students. A great teacher is a person who is energetic, engaging, and creative. Their excitement about learning transfers into their students. Each child has to opportunity to become whatever he/she wants in this great country. It is an eduators job to prepare students to have the ability to fulfill their aspirations, no matter how great. My philosophy is the teacher becomes a master sculptor who molds their students into something beautiful.
I have chosen to be a teacher. I want to challenge myself to fulfill my own expectations of who a teacher should be. Not only do I want to instruct children, but I want to be a role model and mentor. Unfortunately, many children do not recieve the positive attention that they need at home. I want to be someone that a child can trust and count on. I want to be someone who challenges them to be the best that they can possibly be.
