I am majoring in Special Education Emotional Impairments because I want to make a difference for children who otherwise are mostly forgotten. I know that their is a shortage of special education teachers who are highly qualified and I want to be a teacher who helps children develop into adults that can function at the best of their abilities.

 

I want to work with children with disabilities to make the biggest difference possible. I have chosen to minor in language arts because I believe language, reading, and writing are the keys that unlock the doors to so many other things for children. I feel reading is very important for them to be able to do, and do well. I also chose to minor in early childhood education because of my experience with head start and preschool. I just love working with the young children.
