Professional Experience
Career and Job Goals: I would like to work as an Elementary Educator in the state of Michigan. I hope to be a positive influence in my students lives. I want to be a teacher that students remember as wonderful, with few negative memories.
Previous Education: I attended Harper Creek Community Schools, home of the Beavers, in Battle Creek, Michigan for all of my grade school education. During my senior year here I was a Cadet Teacher in a second grade classroom. I graduated from HCHS in June of 2003. I continued my education at Kellogg Community College in Battle Creek, Michigan. I am currently enrolled at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan. I am currently doing a pre-internship for ED377 in a second grade classroom.

Work Experience: I worked at Binder Park Zoo in Battle Creek, Michigan for four summers (1999-2004) in the Guest Services department. I am currently employeed at DENSO Manufacturing Michigan Inc. of Battle Creek, Michigan working in the Recreation Center. I work for the Corporate Services department organizing many community and social events.
Special Skills & Talents: I am a very organized person, and I hope this will carry over into my teaching someday. I excel at planning and organizing social events. I feel that I am also a creative person.
Volunteer Experience: I have volunteered for the same teacher for 3 1/2 years. This is the same teacher I did my cadet teaching with in High School. I hope to continue this until I have my own classroom of students.
