Welcome to my webpage!!

Hey, I'm Amber Short. This is me right after I got done working out at the rec. I'm currently a sophomore at Western Michigan University, majoring in Exercise Science and minoring in Biology and Environmental Sciences. I am in the Lee Honors College, am a member of Phi Epsilon Kappa, the honorary fraternity for health, exercise science, and P.E. majors, and am in Alpha Lambda Delta, the national honor society.

Aside from working out regularly, I also enjoy hanging out with my friends, partying, playing with my dog, Daisy, watching t.v., traveling, anything outdoors, and cooking and eating vegetarian food. I've been a vegetarian for the past 11 years. Although I love working out and try to eat healthy when I can, I have to admit, ice cream and candy are two of my favorite foods.

I was born in Dover, New Hampshire on April 8, 1986 and then moved to Corvallis, Oregon when I was a year old. My parents, two brothers, and I moved to Mattawan, Michigan (about 30 minutes away from Western) when I was 4. I currently live near campus.

I went to Mattawan Consolidated Schools from kindergarten to twelve grade. During high school, I was a cheerleader my freshman year. I participated in track for two years and ran the 800m and 1600m. My junior and senior year I played lacrosse. I absolutely loved lacrosse and track and miss both a lot.

After I graduate from Western I plan on continuing on to graduate school to earn my phD in physical therapy. My school of choice is Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon. After graduate school I look forward to becoming a physical therapist specializing in sports rehabilitation.
