Overview About Me: I am a twenty-six year old student. I have been in college for almost eight years. I have learned and grown a lot over that time. I will be graduating in May 2008. I enjoy snowboarding, singing and reading. I also enjoy being in the classroom and working with students in whole groups, small groups or individually. I am currently completing my pre-internship at King-Westwood Elementary in a sixth grade classroom. I am a pre-intern of 27 homeroom students and 60 Language Arts students. It is turning out to be quite an experience for me and I see it as a priviledge to gain this type of knowledge before I am in a classroom alone. I have worked in many daycares, which have provided me with some experience with children. The biggest experience that I have had thus far is in the actual classroom. I have worked with students that are illiterate. I have worked with them to help improve their literacy skills.
