Upon admittance to Western Michigan University, I sought out a degree in business with a major in Marketing; both of which can be attained through the Haworth School of Business. There is a long line of accountants in my family, so needless to say, there are high expectations. It has been a rigorous field as of now, and will only continue to become more difficult. To date, I have successfully completed the first year of Hcob's Marketing courses, earning high marks in all classes, but have also become more and more detached from the course content.
I feel that a change of major is a certainty in the near future, but not until a perfect match is found. Communication sounds very appealing, and will give me an introduction to corporate law, which is exactly what I would like to be practicing after earning an undergraduate.
Outside of my studies, I am very active in the WMU greek community. My freshman year I pledged my Sisterhood to Delta Zeta, and have been an active sister since November, 2004. The Sorority life has brought many life style changes, some for better, and some for worst. But, ultimately it will bring many great rewards now and later in life.
Currently I am looking for employment for the summer, primarily in the food service industry. I have strong interpersonal and communication skills, allowing me to excel in this field. The compensation is very good, and hours are very flexible. This arrangement could not be more perfect for a college student.
