Question 1: Explain the difference between an IP address and a Domain name with the example of WMU.

An IP address is a number that is assigned to every computer on the network. This is a 12 digit number that is unique to ever computer on the network. An example for WMU of an IP address could be 141.105.203.111. A domain name is an easy to remember name for the network computer. Domain names are assigned based on the organization type and the organization's name. WMU's domain name is wmich.edu.
