ME

Pictures of me and my husband taken by me (with timer)
I was inspired to become a speech pathologist my senion year of high school though I didn't persure it untill my senior year as an undergrad at Western Michigan University. I frist began my college career undecided at a local community college called Souwestern Michigan College. I graduated from that school in 2004 and moved to New Mexico. I attened the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque as a major in advertising. While I was there I worked as a direct care staff and met an amazing man who at the age of 76 was learning to read. This man inspired me to follow my dream. So I moved back to Michigan and decided to attend Western.
As an important person in the development of children I would like to share with you some of my prior experiences with children. As a mother of one and and aunt of eight I have plenty of familial experience. One niece and one nephew have had a speech pathologist work with them.
Prior to my professional career I volenteered my time at a special education school in South Bend Indiana. I have also worked as a direct care staff for two adult forster care homes, one in Michigan and one in New Mexico.
I worked seveal years and volenteered some years aswell at a Camp Rosenthal of Michigan which is a camp for inner city children from Chicago as both a health officer and a photographer.
