This semester started a new era in Digital Signal Processing
at Western Michigan University.
Twelve computers in Kohrman Hall were installed with
Texas Instrument's TMS320 Digital
Signal Processors. This hardware will be coupled with
a Code Composer Software to allow for an easily programmable
processor. The software is equipped with both a C compiler
and an Assembly compiler. The processors will be used
under undergraduate projects, which will analyze digital
signals applied to image and speech processing.
