The Association promotes collaboration among its members and others engaged in the study of higher education through research, conferences, and publications, including its highly regarded journal, The Review of Higher Education. |

AERA-
J is the Higher Education division of the American Educational Research
Association Division J is concerned with encouraging and advancing research on every aspect of postsecondary education, bringing together discipline-based researchers, field-based educators, and researchers from agencies and institutions. Its members include researchers, administrators and educators interested in postsecondary education in a variety of settings. The Association for Institutional Research (AIR) AIR hosts conferences on institutional research, offers workshops on data usage, and offers grants for graduate student and faculty research. This site has a wealth of information. The National Association of Student Personnel Administrators NASPA is the largest student affairs professional organization in the country, and hosts national and regional conferences, institutes, and other professional development opportunities. The association also publishes the NASPA Journal. The American College Personnel Association The College Student Educators International -- this is a huge umbrella association of administrators involved in varied aspects of higher education. The National Association for Equal Opportunity in Higher Education NAFEO is the professional organization of the senior administrators of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). The Professional and Organizational Development (POD) Network POD is the national association of faculty developers in higher education. It hosts an annual conference, new faculty developer institutes, chairs institutes, and other professional development, and publishes To Improve The Academy, an annual journal of new developments in faculty development. |

AIRweb's Associations List has a huge list of national and regional professional and scholarly associations related to higher education. ERIC Clearinghouse on Higher Education is defunct due to the Bush Administration's de-funding of the whole clearinghouse system . . . don't even let me go there. |
