1. Computer Toolbox Downloads -- Ages 8 and up

Take Turns with Chess Clock
Take Turns with Chess Clock is the name of the resource I
used in the Computer Toolbox of Kids Kaboose Domain. This source was found
under downloads for ages 2-5 and ages 8 and up. This resource could be used in
the classroom to help students learn how to take turns and share, especially
while having fun. An easy program to use, just set the timer to the amount of
time a child is allowed to have for a specific activity. This program would
come in especially useful in the early grades like K-2.

Computers Inside and Out – Outer Hardware Labeling Worksheet
Computers Inside and Out-Outer Hardware Labeling Worksheet
is the name of the resource I used in the Computer Connections section of the
Kids Kaboose website. This worksheet goes in conjunction with an explanation
about the outer hardware of computers. I think this would be a great activity
in the classroom, because kids seem to know a lot about what to *do* with
computers, but not about the computers themselves. This simple lesson will give
kids a working knowledge of computers and their parts.

Safe Surfing Guide Boards and Chat
This article gives good tips and advice about posting and
chatting on the internet for kids. This article could be printed off, passed
out, sent home and also posted by any computers in the classroom. A quiz could
also be made based on the article. This is great knowledge for kids to have,
since the internet can be a dangerous place for kids.
