Feedback and questions from the last class? Hopefully, you understood everything… I saw some nods as if you were getting it and some other blank stares. I know that this information is completely new to many of you and hopefully you’ll find it makes sense the further we continue with the class. READ the BOOK!!! You should come to class with questions or criticisms from the book so we can clarify the things you don’t understand.

Those of you who gave me a survey last class: Who sent me “Poverty in America” from NPR (www.npr.org/programs/specials/poll/poverty/staticresults.html)? Was it Naoko?  I talked to you but forgot who you are. I have your survey but I didn’t put your name on it. Who are you? I have surveys from Andy, Casey, Curlisha, Dawn, Melissa, and.…..

In the Davidson book, read p. 27 on Goal-Free Evaluation.

The lit reviews are due Oct. 4 and the Midterm is the next week, Oct. 11. The midterm will cover classes 1-7 and all the chapters associated with those dates. A study guide is posted on my website: http://homepages.wmich.edu/~b4youker

There’s a lot of info on the midterm study guide. The highlighted stuff is particularly important. The Midterm will consist of one essay question (all the possible essay questions are stated in yellow highlight), some short answer and some multiple choice. Pay attention to definitions. Ask questions about things you don’t understand!!!

Here are the grades so far. Please make sure that we agree. You can email me or call me if you have questions or there are discrepancies.
