The scientists and the suits at The Coca-Cola Company (TCCC) concoct the secret recipes and market the brands, but Coca-Cola Enterprises (CCE) does much of the bottling and distribution of the soft drinks. The world's #1 Coke bottler, CCE accounts for 19% of worldwide sales of Coca-Cola's beverages. CCE also bottles and distributes other beverages, including Canada Dry, Dr Pepper, Nestea, bottled waters, and juices. It sells soft drinks in 46 US states, the District of Columbia, the US Virgin Islands, Canada, and six European nations, including France and the UK. The company's territories consist of more than 412 million potential customers. The Coca-Cola Company owns approximately 35% of CCE.RETURN

 

 

AMC Entertainment

DESCRIPTION  

AMC Entertainment shines when the lights go down. The #2 movie theater chain in the US (behind Regal) owns about 415 theaters housing some 5,600 screens, most of which are in megaplexes (units with more than 14 screens and stadium seating). Its theaters can be found throughout the US, as well as in Canada, Europe, and Latin America. The firm also teamed with Famous Players (bought by Cineplex Entertainment in 2005), Hollywood Media, and National Amusements to launch MovieTickets.com, of which AMC Entertainment owns about a quarter. The company in 2006 bought rival Loews Cineplex, significantly boosting its holdings. Private investment firm Marquee Holdings owns AMC Entertainment, which has filed to go public.
