Collegiate Objective

On a professional level, I am going to college for the obvious reason, to get a good job after college. I’m looking to go into some sort of business field, but have also thought about law, broadcasting, and journalism. I would like to achieve a high grade point average so I can get into graduate school if I decide to pursue law. I plan to try and take only classes that will have a positive impact on my future endeavors. During college I would like to develop a professional personality and work ethic to prepare myself for the work world. I figure that my classes should be enough to get me ready for the work load that a real job will have.

On a personal level, college has already started to transform me into the person I feel that I’m going to be as an adult. The feeling of complete responsibility for my actions has forced me to make decisions that I may not have made while living with my parents. It is quite the task to learn how to live in the same room with a complete stranger, in my case, my roommate and I don’t meet eye to eye and many if any issues. This is a big test for my personality to not let him get to me enough to affect the quality of my work. The objective for me personally with college is to get through doing well enough to find a good profession, but to also grow as a person and get to know myself as just me without the influence of parents.
