Today was a wonderful day! I finally got to
go shopping! I went to the local shopping mall, Greenacres, with Thinus
(which was really very nice of him) and it was wonderful! Granted, I didn't
know any of the shops and was a bit overwhelmed by them, I got an outfit
and another shirt for less then R500 (about $50). Couldn't find that at
Crossroads, eh? It is a nice shopping center and everything. Much like
an American one, except with different stores. The style is a bit different
as well, but not in a bad way. I guess that is because it is winter in
Michigan and summer here!
Yesterday we went to our first game park. We saw warthogs, giraffes, zebras,
wildebeests, monkeys (granted, we do see those everyday), rhinos, and
ostriches. Bekah now believes that we are, finally, in South Africa. Well
perhaps a little one. The REAL South Africa, in her mind, has lions, cheetahs,
leopards, hyenas, and elephants as well as the above-mentioned animals.
Well, yes, it does, but those aren't very near to where we are!
I love PE! School starts on Wednesday, which should be interesting, to
say the least. I miss everyone back home quite a lot, but all in all this
trip has been spectacular!
