We went to Robben Island, which is a prison where they kept blacks. Most of the prisoners weren't bad; they were just fighting for their rights. Like in America when the blacks were slaves and they weren't free. That's kind of what happened here. It was sad going in and looking at the cells. Our tour guide was there as a prisoner. Also, Nelson Mandela, the old South African president, was in jail there. They both did nothing wrong. Our tour guide said that every morning they had to fold there blankets a special way. The prisoners would write notes and when they were playing tennis, they would split the ball open and put the note in and hit it to the other side of the wall where the other prisoners were. They would usually write on the note something like "Is my wife going to divorce me?" They would write that because the guards would open their mail and write something else. There were two sections: A and B. Section A could get visitors and section B couldn't. Prisoners in section B would hit the ball with the note over the wall and prisoners in A would ask whoever is visiting next to try and figure out the answer. When we were on the boat to Robben Island we saw seals and penguins. After that we climbed a mountain called Lion's Head. It was fun.

We started back for PE with Anna and Uncle Bill. We drove for 6 hours. We got to the huge mountains and started driving on cliffs. Our campsite was surrounded by mountains where there was no way to get out. The campsite was just a cleared area with bush everywhere. No one was there. We slept on rooftop tents. In the mountains there were leopards, warthogs, poisonous snakes, and baboons. The next day we drove 5 more hours to our next camp site which was also in the mountains, except there were also wild buffalo and kudu. It was fun! In the morning we were driving hoping to see leopard, buffalo, kudu, and baboons. After we got out of the cliffs and mountains we drove 5 more hours and got to PE. It's Easter today!
