On a personal level, I am entering college to experience independence, meet new people but stay true to my old friends, and discover more about who I am. At first it was hard meeting new people and being on my own, but the dorm life help me out a lot with that issue. Many people were in the same situation as I was in, so it was easy to talk to people and make new friends. The independence was not so hard after I started school because I had stuff to do, and my parents taught me well being independent. The hard part was leaving my friends and family, but my family stayed close and called me. My friends back at home was a little hard to keep in touch, but luckily we all had facebook and we text each to keep each updated. I still ask myself, “Why I went away for college?” and “Why do I do different things here at college than at home?” Honestly I went away for college to meet new people, try new things, and explore more options. But at the end of graduation I plan on being a better person, still obtaining the old friends I have at home plus the new friends I made along the line, and not being dependent from anyone but myself. On a professional level, I want to learn enough to get my degree in accountancy. One of my many goals in college is to keep my GPA above a 3.7. I also would love to obtain a 4.0 GPA for one semester. My minor is Spanish or communication, so I need to figure out what classes I need to take to complete the minor. Additionally I would love to join a sport club, so I can stay active physically and mentally. I will take what I have learned from high school plus what I learned from college to earn a job at a company. The company would see that I have experience as a team, the intelligence, and the determination to get the work done. By the time I leave college I plan on owning a bakery or working in a company as an accountant and retiring as the CEO of the company.
