| Call to Order |
The monthly meeting of the Advisory Committee on Affirmative Action was held at 3:00P on Friday, August 15, 20xx, in Building B, Room 202. The meeting was called to order by Ms. Karen Powers, President. |

| Present |
Members present were Susan Branch, Kathleen Goodwin, Karen Molzan, Margaret Murphy, David Sallisbury, and Roger Wells. |

| Absent |
Members absent were Luella Kraft, Mark Nolan, and Marianna Valdez. |

| Minutes Approved as Corrected |
The minutes of the July meeting were read and approved with the following correction: David Sallisbury was added to the list of members present and deleted from the list of members absent. |

| President's Report |
President Powers read the Special Report of the Task Force on Affirmative Action. After questions, the report was filed for future reference. |
|

| Treasurer's Report |
Ms. Branch, Treasurer, read the Treasurer's report. The balance for July, $5,215.67, included $5000 allocation for the new fiscal year and $215.67 remaining from the previous year. The report was accepted and placed on file. |
|
| Motions, seconds, and votes should be recorded. Discussion needs to be recorded only when it is especially significant. |

| New Business |
After a lengthy discussion on the value of conducting workshops on sexual harassment, Branch moved and Powers seconded that the Committee recommend that the company provide a series of workshops on understanding and eliminating sexual harassment in the workplace. Motion carried. Branch volunteered to write a draft of the proposal for management in time for the September meeting. |

| Announcements |
The meeting for September will be at 4:00P on the 24th instead of 3:00P to accommodate members who will be attending the luncheon with the CEO. |

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 4:40P. |
