AFP file(s) recovery or system upgrade testing

Following is the list of mainframe files and contents. Files are backed up nightly to tape and files or individual file members can be restored by scheduling the job with production control, 7-3823.

Financial Aid ImageNow recovery

ImageNow server files, including the database (called Object Storage Manager) are backed up nightly onto 8mm tape.
Following is a table of ImageNow and system files backed up for the imaging scan station. Instructions for recovery with Seagate Exec follow the table.

File Name & Location	File Description
C:/ - at scanstation	backup all system & program files on local drive
C:Program Files/ImageNow/ - at scanstation	backup all changed imaging source & data files

Instructions for backup/restore of imaging scanstation:

1. Mouse click on "Backup Exec" icon
2. Choose one of three option tabs: 'Backup', 'Restore', or 'Compare'
3. If 'Backup', choose one of two jobs already created, or use the backup wizard to create custom backup: 'Allbackup' or 'Imagenow changed files bkup'
4. Follow prompts
5. If 'Restore', fill in 'restore from' from pull down menu (8mm tape, CD-R, or disk file)
6. Fill in what files to restore (click on view to see backup files available to restore, or restore all)
7. Follow prompts
8. The 'Compare' tab does compare of media backup files to files on local drive
