Soon after the tragic events of September 11, 2001, a core group of employees met together to begin the planning of a memorial dedicated to the victims, survivors and families of these tragedies. Our basic premise was to build a site, solely from employee contribtions, where WMU employees, students and community members could come for quiet thought, prayer and reflection.Bird's eye-view of proposed site. Memorial plaque to be mounted on boulder. Check the wording here. The actual plaque is bronze and will have a leatherette background, bevel edges, and raised bronze lettering (will appear gold in color).
