| Samburu Singing : I took this in the highlands, at a "Remore" fertility ceremony. Remore is one of several methods used when a woman is having difficulty conceiving. It is a blessing done by boys, who make a clay/mud "baby" that they name and give to the woman. The entire "Remore" is protracted and intricate, culminating in a celebration like the one you see here. |
