Lmurran and a Young Wife:
The young woman is married to the father of the man on the left.
They decided on this pose, with her in the center, and the two of them
shaking hands while holding their guns. You can see that each of them
also has a sheathed short sword at his waist. Their long hair is in the
Samburu lmurran braided style, and here, they have cloths on their heads
as well. The young man on the left has a red blanket that Samburu elders
often wear, while the young man on the right is wearing the more typical
bright cloth lmurran wear. The fashions are changing as rapidly as ever
though, and you can see the kikoi cloth that has recently become popular
for young men and elders peeking out from under the red cloth. |
