Career Goal- My career coal is to obtain a job in a classroom as an early elementary teacher.

Current Education- Currently I am a senior at Western Michigan University. I am an elementary education major, specializing in math, science, english and early elementary education.

Previous Education- I graduated form Forest Hills Northern High School in Grand Rapids, MI.

In Classroom Experience:

Winter 2003- Assisted kindergarted children in the Kalamazoo Public Schools, with reading skills. Such as, phonics, letter recognition, and sight words.

Fall 2003- Pre-Internship in Portage Public Schools. Created and taught lesson plans in literature, math and science for a first grade classroom. Assisted in daily lessons, worked with higher needs children, and got a great lesson in classroom management.

Work Experience :

2004- I am currently a nanny for a family in Kalamazoo with two children aged 15 months and five years old. I provide all day care, prepare meals, transport from school and plan activities.

2001-2004- I am currently a nanny for a family in Kalamazoo. I care for a 5 and 9 year old. I prepare meals, and transport children to and from school, and special activities. Help with homework and daily troubles.

2001- Teacher Aide in the toddler classroom at Appletree Christian Learning Center, located in Grand Rapids, MI. I cared for 4 two year olds, planning activities, preparing meals and teaching them life skills.

2000- Poolside server at Egypt Valley Country Club, located in Ada, MI.

1998-2000- Customer Service Representative at Steketee's Department Store, located in Grand Rapids, MI. I made schedules, authorized credit card applications,and was there when customer's needed assistance.

Skills and Talents- I have the ability to stay calm in most situations. I am a good listener, and stay on task. I love working with children and watching them learn and grow.

Hobbies- I enjoy traveling, reading, photography and relaxing.
