My English Bulldog
English Bullies are a very unique and playful breed. They are within the bull-breed family and often get a bad rep for being aggressive. The fact of the matter is that they are the most fun loving animal that anyone could cross paths with. On average, male bulldogs reach around 50 lbs and females reach about 40 lbs. Their name was originated back when bulldogs were used in a sport known as "bull-baiting". This sport was developed on the belief that the meat would be tenderer if the bull was enraged before butchering. The reason bulldogs were used to do this is because of their naturally strong physique and fearless mentality. It was not until the sport was outlawed that breeders began riding these traits from bulldogs to give them a place as a household friend and companion. I just purchased my first bulldog roughly five months ago and it has been the best decision I have ever made as far as pets are concerned. There is never a dull moment with Brody and could not ask for a better dog to introduce into my household.
