Parents

familia

Welcome, parents! Thank you so much for taking an interest in your child's education and visiting our classroom website. I am very much looking forward to meeting you all and to working with your children this year. Although I am always available by appointment or through email, I want this website to be a place where you can find most of the information that you need regarding your children's learning in my class. Below you can find the weekly classroom newsletter, website reviews, information about my experiences teaching children, and a few web sites that could be very good resources. If you have any questions at all, please email me by clicking on the link below. If you would like more information about me, I also have professional and personal pages that you can access through the links above, and you can watch a short movie about some of my background and interests. Thanks again for taking the time to find out about your child's fourth-grade class.

Classroom Newsletter

Each week, I will post a new newsletter to tell you about things that are going on in our classroom. The newsletter also includes spelling lists, classroom needs, summaries of articles pertaining to your child's education, etc. You will need Microsoft Publisher to open the document. If you cannot access the file (my own home computer does not have Publisher!) and would like a printed copy, please email me.

This website is designed to help parents keep their kids safe while on the web. I reviewed three different resources on this site: Message Boards & Chatrooms: Rules, Etiquette, and More, Computer Care & Safety, and Downloads—Ages 8 & Up—Kidspiration. Read reviews

Michigan eLibrary (MeL)

I did not know about this site until just a few weeks ago! Residents of Michigan have access to this library, including online databases for finding journal articles, etc. There is even a database for kids! I really love this site. All you need to login is a state ID or Michigan driver's license number.
