Attendance

Being in class is very important because participation counts. Students can have three excused absences each semester without it affecting their grade. Excused absences must have proper documentation. Absences for school activities will not count against excused absences unless they become excessive. If the absence is arranged, the student needs to talk to me ahead of time and get any work that she or he will miss. If the absence is unexpected (illness, death in the family, etc.), the parent should call the school as soon as possible to account for the student's absence.

Student Expectations

1. Be respectful of others.

2. Ask questions.

3. Turn in homework on time.

4. Always come to class ready to learn.

5. Talk to people about what we are learning in class.

6. Give suggestions about how we can make the class even better.
