I have been married for over thirty years and we have three grown
sons. By being involved in their lives, I became the Scoutmaster
for a local Boy Scout Troop.
The boys in the troop are between 10.5 and 18 years of age.
Although it is a boy run troop, I have been in charge of supervising
them, along with my male assistants, for over 8 years. We go on
weekend campouts monthly and meet each week during the school
year. It is so amazing to see how much they change during their
adolescent years. I am so lucky to be a part of the lives of so
many scouts during the time that they are growing and maturing.
I operated my home child care for 15 years, giving it up to work for
Early Head Start three years ago. I started in the infant room as
a primary caregiver for four children. I stayed with the same
children and their families until they moved on to Head Start this
spring. There are several teen mothers who bring their children
to the center while they go to school. This fall, I became the
Site Coordinator for our center in Three Rivers. This means an
hour each way commute to get to work. I really enjoy my new
position as I be involved in the lives of more children and their
families. I look forward to working with and giving my
support to the families.
During tax season, I work evenings and weekends for H & R Block. At Block
there are several levels of tax professionals and different choices of
financial services.
Financial Planning
Mortgages

Online Tax Preparation Service
Tax Professionals
and Advisors for personalized service at local offices throughtout the
country
As a Master Tax advisor, I have passed the enrolled agent exam
and can represent people in an IRS audit. I have helped people of
all ages with their tax and financial problems for ten
years. My favorite part of tax preperation is teaching
clients how to save their money by planning and taking the appropriate
deductions.
One of my biggest challenges right now is to stop spending so much time
on other things and spend more time with family. If your schedule
overwhelms you like mine does, I encourage you to follow my hints on
the next page.
