This study addresses the simple and somewhat useless directory signage. When you step off the elevator you are faced with a simple sign that points you in the direction of a few things with an arrow. The sign does little to actually help you beyond that simple direction. I set out to make a directory concept that would ideally be a touch screen which allowed interactivity. By choosing your destination on screen you are given options beyond just what direction to head. You can get more in depth directions and much more information about the destination. This study has the potential to include video, photos and sound to further enhance this experience. For example, instead of just text when you click “about” the design center, it could play a video to give you a short overview of what happens there.
