Previous Education
I attended Hillside Elementary School in Farmingtion Hills, Michigan from Kindergarden through 5th Grade. I then attended O.E. Dunckel Middle School from 6th Grade through 8th Grade. After middle school I attended North Farmington High School, and recieved my High School Diploma. In high school I signed up for a seminar first semester of my sophmore year to work at a day care for a few hours everyday. At this time I knew I loved children, but I was curious if I could make a future out of it. During this seminar I worked with children from 4-6 years old. We played games, did experiments, listened to stories, I read them books, IT WAS GREAT! The following year I signed up for another seminar but at an actual elementary school. I worked with a very talented and gifted teacher. She had me work one on one with struggling students, grade papers, make worksheets, and even read stories to them during snack time. She gave me great advice and has truely inspired me as a future teacher. I now attend Western Michigan University and am majoring in Elementary Education and minoring in Math and Language Arts. I am hoping to graduate in 2010 and praying for a job in the Kalamazoo area. |
