About WMU

Western Michigan University was founded in 1903 and was once Western Michigan College until 1957 when it became the fourth public University in Michigan.  Western is one of the top-100 public universities in the United States and has over 240 programs at the University for students to enter in.  Western's athletic programs compete at the highest level of college sports, NCAA Division 1.  There are over 800 faculty members that work at Western and some are involved in newly developed research.  A new medical school will be launching in 2014.
