Conceptual model and development process metamodel

Safety Case pattern and weaving table

GPCA Safety Case

SPIRIT Project

The Conceptual model derived from infusion pump guidance:

Underlying SPIRIT is a model-driven approach where a number of metamodels are employed. Firstly, it takes as input
a conceptual metamodel that intends to capture the infusion pump guidance.

GPCA Development Process Metamodel

Next, it prompts infusion pump developers to provide a metamodel that defines their software development
processes, which should specify the main artifacts produced as a sequence of development activities throughout the process.

Safety Case Pattern:

Lastly, it accepts as input a safety case pattern and uses it as the basis to produce a safety case for any
infusion pump (software) project that is developed following the development process metamodel.
