Collegiate Objective
I have entered college for many reasons. One of the reasons why I chose Western Michigan University is because it feels like a second home to me. I felt this was a great University for me because it is where I can grow as a student and learn more about myself than ever before. Of course I wanted to go to college to seek a career, but I also came here to learn more about myself and become more responsible. Since I have been here, I have never regretted it since. I have also chose this University to make new friendships. Since I have been here, I have made lasting friendships. Even though college can be tough, I am glad that I chose to come to Western Michigan University. This University is making me grow as a person and helping me become more independent, which will be helpful in the future.
I also chose to come to this University for academics. I have always wanted to earn a degree in Marketing and work when I am older. In order to obtain a degree, I plan to work very hard for the four years that I will be here for. I plan on achieving a 3.5 GPA or better during my collegiate career. Additionally, I will become involved in many registered student organizations. I will get involved by joining a sorority, small business marketing association, being involved in the citizenship program, studying abroad, and having internships and externships, which will help me network. By doing all of these activities during my college career, I will be more experienced than most students and it will be easier for me to seek employment.
