On a personal level, I am entering college to explore many new opportunities. While living in the dorms isn’t exactly living on my own, it still gives me some sense of independence and much needed time away from home. Attending Western is a much different environment than what I experienced in highschool, so only time can tell what the future holds for me.
On a professional level, I want to pursue some type of degree in business, specifically I can’t exactly say. In high school I was placed in an extremely competitive environment. Now I feel as though I can stand out as a student and be happy with my work, rather than constantly worrying about how I measure up to other’s benchmarks. I ideally want to find some sort of career that provides me with something I enjoy doing, as well as enough money to at least support myself.
