About Me

Learn a little more about me, and check out these links to some of my favorite sites:

I'm in a band called The Union. We play locally in Kalamazoo and West Michigan. We play mostly blues and funk, which leads to lots of dancing, and general merriment. On this site, you can find photos, bios, music to download, and a schedule of our upcoming dates.

I'm also in another musical project, known affectionately as the Out of Favor Boys. Check out our site, too. This band's a lot of fun, and a pleasant diversion from playing with a full-on electric band.

Both of my band sites were created by Joel Krauss. His site is pretty entertaining, too.

I play several different guitars with my band, including a 1989 American Fender Stratocaster, and a "frankenstein-ed" new Strat with some customized goodies, but my most prized guitar is one that was made right here in Kalamazoo. Gibson used to make all of their classic guitars here in -- well, why don't you go check out their story yourself? Mine is the H-535, antique sunburst. I play my guitars through Fender amplifiers, a 1993 Blues Deluxe, a 1974 Vibro Champ, and an early 80s Bassman 20.

I'm also a Harley Davidson rider, and I love to waste time looking at new and used Harleys on their website. Last fall I sold my 1973 XLCH chopper. It was a great bike for learning to ride and wrench, but I'm looking forward to a more reliable ride this season on 1994 Electra Glide. This summer my roommates and I are planning a trip to the Outer Banks of North Carolina, and we'll be aboard our bikes!
