Collegiate Objectives

College is entirely a learning experience. That’s exactly what I plan to do. But it isn’t going to be all about the books. I intend to learn about myself, money, time budgeting, women, and life on my own while I learn about all of my courses.

The experience for me will not include only my dorm room, a highlighter and a book I paid way too much for. College to me will be just as much in the student ghetto, fraternities, the Recreation Center, the cafeteria and at my job. I want to do some soul searching during my time at Western Michigan University. I want to know all about how I handle all situations and if I stand a chance on my own. I want to know that I developed myself as a human being, not just as a student.

But this doesn’t mean that it’s going to be all fun and games either. I will attend my classes and will do well in all of them. I will graduate when I was originally supposed to and I will get a job when it is over. As much as college is about the experience, it will be just as much about preparing for my future.
