What is Ethical Hacking?A computer hacker originally was someone who tinkered with any type of system, electrical or mechanical. They did this to better understand how it worked. Over the years this has turned into less a curious manner with more of a malicious intent. Hackers today are known as something negative. They ravage computer systems and networks, damaging machines, files and stealing personal information. Some hackers will cause havoc because they can, but not causing any major damage. Unfortunately this is not the case for all hackers. There are hackers out there that will hack in order to steal financial and personal information for their own personal gain. But where there is evil there is good. The good guys are Ethical Hackers. They learn the ways of hackers, learn how they attack, how they think and put themselves in their shoes. They learn from schools, special classes, practice and lots of research. Their purpose is to counter the attacks and prevent and cease harm done to user’s computers by hackers. Companies are now taking actions to hire these Ethical Hackers to help protect and prevent hacker attacks. Because these Ethical Hackers are penetrating systems and breaking into companies networks, they require a great deal of ethical and moral standards. They also must follow a strict set of laws and guidelines in order to remain legal.
