Courses Professional Resources Writer's Block

My name is Erinn Bentley, and I am an instructor of English at Western Michigan University. I earned a Bachelor's degree in English literature from Hope College in 1994 and a Master's of Fine Arts in creative writing from Western Michigan University in 2006. I currently am a doctoral candidate at WMU studying English education. For twelve years I have worked as an educator in a variety of classroom settings, from teaching ESL in Japan for six years, to teaching middle school to at-risk students in Kalamazoo, to teaching composition, ESL and fundamental English courses at WMU and KVCC. I am a life-long writer of poetry and creative non-fiction as well as a full-time caregiver to my two sons. Besides reading and writing literature, my passions include traveling, especially to places where I can hike or ski in the mountains..
